15TH POPS WORLD MEET AND CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION
The following is the full instructions for registering for the POPS World Meet in Aug 2020 at Dunkeswell.
All POPS/SOS/JOS jumpers need to complete POPS Registration & DZ Registration. Once DZ registration is done Skydive Buzz will contact you by email to allow you to pay for your registration.
All NON UK POPS/SOS/JOS are also required to complete British Skydiving Temp Membership for third party insurance. Please see and click on the links below for all the paperwork you require.
Corona Virus Notice: We are keeping updated to the current situation regarding the international pandemic and travel restrictions for all POPS members. We plan to review the situation mid April 2020 and give an update. TOP POPS will be informed as soon as possible.
ALL COMPETITORS POPS ADMIN REGISTRATION
This is required to register for the world meet, to provide admin details to the UK POPS Team. If you completed the pre-registration form, then there is no requirement for you complete this form again, unless you need to update your details. Please click on the POPS Registration Button and complete the form.
DZ REGISTRATION ALL COMPETITORS
Please complete the DZ Registration Form (Parts 1 to 3 only)(Parts 4 to 6 can be completed on arrival) and email to . (Please do not email it to UK POPS)
The office will set up your account and email you back your account details.
Once you login to your account you will be able to pay for your registration (and any Friends/Family).
You will be required to go to the events section to select your registration type, this will be added to your basket and you are then required to pay the balance required.
You will also be able to add funds to cover your jumps, however this can be done on arrival.
Details of rounds per events are provided further on this page.
If you hold an account at the DZ, you are still required to submit the form.
Registration is non-refundable and jumpers are responsible for ensuring there is sufficient funds in their account for all events.
NON UK SKYDIVERS TEMPORARY BRITISH SKYDIVING MEMBERSHIP THIRD PARTY INSURANCE
All Non-United Kingdom skydivers are required to take out British Skydiving Temporary Membership to compete. This is required to provide Third Party Insurance. Local DZ membership has been waivered for this event.
Please download and complete the form and send directly to British Skydiving (details are on the form). This will be valid for 1 month only at the time of purchase, so please complete closer to the event (suggested a week or two before you intend to jump in the UK). This can also be completed on arrival at the DZ.

Accuracy Jumps (hop and Pops) £20.
4 Way or 8 Way Jumps £28.75.
(please note) costs include camera, judges and equipment for the event.
All costs are inclusive of Camera, Judges and Equipment for the events. The registration costs for jumpers includes opening ceremony and meal, closing ceremony and dinner, medals and goodie bag. Registration for Camera Flyers and Friends/Family covers opening ceremony & meal and closing ceremony and dinner. Registration costs include the additional staff and facilities during the week.

WORLD POPS MEET
15TH WORLD POPS MEET AND CHAMPIONSHIP 2020
Location: Dunkeswell Airfield, Nr Honiton, Devon, EX14 4LG
Date: 7th - 15th August 2020 (05-07 August 2020 will be training dates) Opening Ceremony will take place on the 7th Aug 2020. Closing Ceremony and Dinner will take place on the 15th Aug 2020.
DZ Details: Skydive Dunkeswell is a drop zone in the village of Dunkeswell and derives from the old entity that was Devon and Somerset Parachute School. Views can be seen of the north and south coast of Devon plus the coast of Wales on a clear day from altitude. Skydive Buzz Directions - Find Us
Aircraft: Previously held two King Air Beech Aircraft.
Currently hold 1 Grand Caravan (C208). Plan is to have two caravans for the meet.
Exit Altitude and Speeds: 4-Way and Speed Star, Flight Level 150, Exit speed TBC.
Accuracy (including Sport, Hit'n'Rock), Above Ground Level 3,600ft, Exit speed TBC.
SKYDIVE BUZZ DUNKESWELL
Landing Area: The PLA is Dunkeswell aerodrome which offers plenty of huge safe areas to land and is well managed and maintained.
Packing Area: Indoor and outdoor packing facilities.
Camping Facilities: Camping is allowed on site, Campers are welcome with power available. There are a few bunk rooms on site with toilets and showers that operate on tokens for hot water.
ON SITE FACILITIES
Café, Restaurant and Bar: The clubhouse has a small café inside but 100 meters from the clubhouse is the Aviator Restaurant & Bar which serves hot/cold food and drink. The opening times for each will be published each day, evening meals can be preordered.
Shop and Rigging Services: There is an on-site shop for skydiving bits and there is normally a rigger on site for emergency repairs etc.
Local Hotels/Amenities: Other than the bunk house (contact the DZ direct for availability and costings), camping (available on site, free) or Motorhome/Caravan (power hookup cost is £5 per day, please inform us on your registration form), there are a number of B&B’s in the area and a few hotels within 20 mins drive. Honiton is the closet town to the DZ and has a few bars and hotels to facilitate. Local Accommodation to DZ

POPS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MEET RULES
The rules below were ratified for the 14th World POPS Meet and Championship in Australia 2018. UK POPS 2020 rules will be shared before the event.
WORLD MEET AND CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS
The following awards, are given during the closing ceremony dinner at each World Meet and Championship and are an integral part of the POPS history.
POPS LEATHER JACKET
The Pops Leather Jacket is awarded to a POPS World Meet and Championship participant that best personifies the POPS Spirit. It is awarded at the closing ceremony by the previous recipient.
POPS SILVER PLATE
This award recognises and honors a participant who most represents the 'POPS Spirit'. This is defined as a singular person who contributes to the overall fun and competitiveness of the meet, is supportive, cooperative, pleasant and perhaps colourful in demeanor. This can be awarded to anyone present or participating in the meet but must be a POPS member.
SPIRIT OF POPS
This award is presented to the next World Top Pop for the next World Meet and Championship. It is handed from the current World Top Pop to the next at the closing ceremony.
